Dictionary & Word Book

Click any word in the translation log or overlay to trigger an AI-powered dictionary lookup. The LLM generates a context-aware definition that includes:

• Primary meaning in context
• Alternative meanings
• Part of speech
• Example usage from the game

Definitions are generated by the same LLM used for translation, so they understand game-specific terminology and context.

Save looked-up words to your Word Book for later review. Each entry stores:

• The word and its definition
• The original context (sentence where you found it)
• The game profile it came from
• Timestamp and language pair
• Mastery tracking (correct/wrong counts from quizzes)

Free version: Up to 50 words (cumulative). Pro: Unlimited.

Words are tracked with a mastery system based on quiz performance:

• New — never quizzed
• Learning — quizzed but not yet mastered
• Mastered — 3+ correct answers with more correct than wrong

The mastery bar at the top of the Word Book shows your progress at a glance. Quiz modes draw from your Word Book with SRS scheduling to prioritize words you need to practice most.

Manual editing: Click any word entry to edit its definition in the detail panel. Useful for correcting AI definitions or adding personal notes.

AI regeneration: Request a fresh AI-generated definition if the original wasn't accurate. The LLM re-generates using the stored context.

When auto-save is enabled, Playto automatically saves words it encounters during gameplay. The blacklist lets you exclude specific words from auto-saving — useful for proper nouns, game UI labels, or words you already know well.

Blacklists are per Game Pack, so different games can have different exclusion lists.

Playto can automatically extract and save words from translated text. Three modes:

• Manual — only save words you explicitly click
• Quality — auto-save from refined/VLM translations only
• All — auto-save from every translation

Auto-save filters out stop words (common function words), short words (<4 characters), and blacklisted words.
